    Hi,

My name is Andrea Rumbaugh, and I’m a reporter with the Houston Chronicle. I’m writing an article about people who moved to Houston and what they brought with them. For instance, did they carry a book given to them by their mother? A family heirloom? Maybe something that’d protect them during the journey? I was wondering if you know anyone from Morocco who moved to Houston and traveled with a unique item. I really appreciate your help! I can be reached at 713-362-7572. Thank you!

    Salam,
I need your help (NOT money), I just started my automotive busines, i bought new equipment for my automotive shop and of course I needed an electrician to install these equipments for me so I can start working, make money and feed my family “7alal” money. The electrician I hired is moroccan and his name is karim, i thought it will be good to hire an arabic electrician that way he will make living connecting my equipment and you know. … so karim came with 2 older guys to my shop to start the work and he told me these 2 are the master electricians, i was suprised because they looked like they just got out of prison or they smoked something bad. Anyway, to make the story short, karim (I don’t know his last name) charged me $2400 to do the job, he told me it will take maximum 2 days to do the whole job, it took them about 3 weeks to finish it and at the end they burnt the motor on one of the large machines that I have and they disappeared, i call karim on his cell phone every day and he didn’t answer. I had to hire another “certified” electrician to fix what karim and his boys missed up and it cost me $1800. I just wanted to write to you guys may be you can help me getting my money back from karim, or at least know who is karim the electrician who stole my money and ran away.
As I mentioned above all I have is his first name (karim) and his cell phone number: 832-980-5566
    He also do DJ

    Thank you so much
    Belal yousef,

My daughters class at UH Charter school is having a World Bazaar December 17th and they chose to represent Marocco.
Could you please help them by providing more information about Marocco, maybe some costumes, ideas for food they can easily prepare.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Natalia Petroske

    Hi,
I am a teacher in Houston and wanted my students to have an authentic cultural experience. I was wondering if you do school presentations. If you do, where can I get information about it? I would like to hear about those options. Thank you very much.

  • Deborah Mann June 21, 2016

Hello! My name is Deborah Mann and I work for the Texas A&M University MBA Program, based in Houston. We are taking 49 MBA students to Marrakech, Casablanca, and Madrid at the end of July. I’m wondering if there is anyone who would be interested in speaking to the students about Moroccan business and/or culture on the evening of Friday, July 8. (Unfortunately the students are only in class a few days a month this summer and there are not options for dates)

The audience would be full-time graduate students who are also working professionals in Houston. The average age is 30. Some of them have traveled the world and some of them will be leaving the country for the first time! We don’t need so much “practical” advice, as we have a company who handles those needs. The perfect person might be someone who has worked in both Morocco and the United States and who can really see and communicate the differences. Someone who can tell their OWN story of living or working in Morocco, not the kind of information that you would find on wikipedia.

Please contact me if you have anyone that comes to mind, or feel free to share my contact information.

Thanks so much for your time!
    Best regards,
    Deborah Mann
